Please read carefully all notes listed below to make sure you are satisfied that you accept the terms and conditions.

The student bursary may support costs associated with travel, free meals, uniform and kit and childcare.

1. This funding will not cover course fees. You should speak to our Information and Guidance team who will assess your fee status and advise on any costs which you may need to pay.
2. Students studying Higher Education courses or Apprentices are not eligible for funding using these funds.
3. Applications will be dealt with by the Student Bursary team in order of date received. During our busiest time (between late August and October) please expect assessments to take up to ten working days.
4. There is no guarantee that funding will be available as funds are limited. The Student Bursary staff will advise you at the point of application if the fund has been fully allocated. Early applications are advised.
5. Applications must be submitted to the Student Bursary team with evidence of household income.
6. Incomplete applications cannot be considered and will be returned (this includes missing signatures).
7. The Student Bursary team cannot accept responsibility for loss of items in the post.
8. Financial assessments may take place based on the income of yourself and that of a cohabiting partner if applicable, or parents’/carers’ income if you are under the age of 19 and not financially independent.
9. All information provided to the Student Bursary team will be treated in the strictest confidence and will only be accessed by those staff members responsible for carrying out assessments. Information may also be made available to auditors or inspectors as required.
10. Assessment notifications will be sent to the email address provided on the application form (or postal address where this is not available).
11. If you withdraw from your course, or complete early, funding support will immediately stop.
12. If your circumstances change, you must let us know so that we can reassess your application.
13. If you receive any cash payments from the college and you receive income related benefits, it is your responsibility to notify the benefits agency.
14. A separate set of childcare terms and conditions will be issued to you if you have applied for childcare support.
